Conferenza in inglese del professor Casimir Kukielka sulle streghe di Triora.

Sabato 14 ottobre, alle ore 18.00 il professor Casimir Kukielka, giornalista americano e studioso di filosofia, terrà una conferenza in lingua Inglese sul famoso processo per stregoneria di Triora. In questi ultimi anni numerosi cittadini stranieri hanno scelto il paese delle streghe per stabilirvisi, sia per lunghi periodi di vacanza, che in permanenza. Il fenomeno, che investe anche altri borghi dell’entroterra ligure, a Triora sta assumendo una rilevanza culturale notevole.
Ed è proprio agli stranieri che il Professor Kukielka si rivolgerà ripercorrendo le fasi salienti del processo alle streghe del 1587, andando a individuare, grazie agli studi più recenti, le ipotesi storiche che stanno alla base di uno degli avvenimenti più drammatici per Triora.

Conference on the Witch Trial of Triora, presented in English by Casimir Kukielka

Saturday, October 14th, at 6pm, Casimir Kukielka, American journalist and student of history, will hold a conference in English regarding the famous witch trial of Triora.  In the last few years, Triora has become a popular location for foreign nationals, both as a vacation spot and as a place of residence.  This phenomenon, which has touched other towns in the hinterland of Liguria as well, has turned Triora into an important cultural center.  Mr. Kukielka is hoping to reach this growing expatriate community about the Triora witch trial of 1587.  He will draw on the most recent studies and historical hypotheses to shed light on one of the most dramatic events in the region’s history.
